When Should A Vancouver Wedding DJ Start At A Wedding Reception?

Vancouver Wedding DJ - a top-notch wedding dj services

Wedding planning is all about having a system in place, complete with checklists of things to do before your wedding. This is especially important when it comes to booking your wedding vendors, like your Vancouver wedding DJ.

Most couples book their wedding DJ about 9-12 months before their wedding day. This offers you enough time to find a DJ for your wedding without causing stress. Your wedding DJ should arrive before your guests arrive at the reception venue.

This will give them enough time to set up their equipment and make sure everything is working properly. If you prefer a specific song for your big entrance or first dance, give your DJ a CD in advance.

What Should You Expect From Your Vancouver Wedding DJ?

When you hire a professional Vancouver wedding DJ, you should expect them to provide a high level of service. This means they’ll come on time, be well-dressed, and have all their equipment ready before your guests arrive. Your wedding DJ should be capable of assessing the crowd and play music for all of your guests.

They should also be willing to take requests from your guests so everything runs smoothly. We recommend hiring a professional Vancouver wedding DJ to design a customized wedding music mix and keep timeline on track.

So when should a Vancouver wedding DJ start at a wedding reception?

Ideally, your DJ will arrive 1-2 hours before your reception to set up and test equipment. Knowing your DJ is ready will give you peace of mind so you can enjoy your wedding.

Wedding DJ Vancouver party cost | Vancouver DJ Service

Are there any setup or breakdown fees that the couple must pay?

No, there are no setup or breakdown fees that the couple must pay. Our wedding package price includes all of our services.

We believe that there should never be any fees for setup or breakdown. The only fees that are customarily added (and would be disclosed prior to any commitments) are things like travel fees. Some venues in Montreal, for example, require you to take a vehicle transport from the city center to the venue.

In these cases, we would charge a nominal fee to cover the cost of the vehicle and driver. The only other fees could be beyond of our control, such overtime if the couple wants us to play longer. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and ensure you’re on board with our fees before making any commitments.

Could perhaps a couple usually request specific songs that the Vancouver DJ plays?

Yes, couples can definitely request specific songs that they would like the DJ to play. In fact, we encourage it! We want to make sure your wedding is all you’ve ever wanted, and that includes playing the music you adore. If you prefer a specific song for your big entrance or first dance, give your DJ a CD in advance.

What are the most popular songs that are requested by couples?

Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” The Beatles’ “Here Comes the Sun,” and Christina Perri’s “A Thousand Years” are popular We encourage our couples to choose 10-15 songs from each category. A reputable DJ will always solicit feedback from their clients in order to personalize the wedding for them!

The #1 problem clients face...

As I’m sure you’re aware, we live in a world where people fear commitment. People leave all of their options open, because they’re afraid they might end up loosing out on a future opportunity that might be superior to what is right in front of them.

Yet this way of thinking is wrong… But why?

Because by failure to commit to something, the best options available become unavailable. What we thought was a sure thing, ends up becoming a missed opportunity. Through our deliberate action of inaction, we’re soon presented with second-tier options. Options that you wish you could’ve avoided in the first place. But you’ve already committed to the idea of hiring a DJ, so you end up going through with it anyway, and you choose whoever is available because you don’t want to completely miss out. But you know in your heart it didn’t feel like the right choice. And when the money is spent, and the performance is over, you’re disappointed. And you tell yourself: never again. Yet just like a teenager who claims to never drink again after binge drinking the night before, we end up in a cycle of never committing, and always being stuck with bad alternatives. Deep down inside, we’re unhappy. And we’re left with regret.

Amazing opportunities don't last long.

DJing.ca only performs at 125 corporate events per year,  and performs in front of companies such as McLaren, FlyOver Canada, and ActiveState. As we get more referrals each year, the number of calls & emails continues to grow.

And with good reason.

Having a 100% satisfaction rate, we keep getting referrals. That’s what happens when you are Vancouver’s best DJs.

I know a lot of other people claim that, but here’s the facts:

We spent an entire year, or 4,000+ hours (yes, we’re work-a-holics) searching through 350 DJs, only to find the top 15 that met our expectations based on personality, experience, and professionalism. If any DJ doesn’t receive a 5/5 star rating from clients (just like yourself), they do not meet the requirements of our contract and can no longer work with us.

And here’s the kicker…

To date we haven’t had to remove anyone.

If you want your event to be truly amazing, don’t hesitate. Fill out the form, we’re here to help. Let’s work together to make your vision come to life.
